With wellness and quality of life at the forefront of the veterinary profession, international best-selling author and business/personal life speaker Nigel Marsh will deliver the keynote address titled “Work-Life Balance: A Modern-Day Unicorn or Something Life Changingly Fabulous Available to All?” at the American Association of Equine Practitioners’ 63rd Annual Convention in San Antonio, Texas, Nov. 17-21, 2017.

Marsh’s presentation will explore how equine veterinarians can learn to balance their career, family time, personal time, and productivity to rediscover overall wellness and personal balance.

Best known for his creative pursuits, Marsh produced and managed a variety of social engineering campaigns to address almost every challenge imaginable during his 25-year career in marketing and branding. These experiences shaped his strong views on effective marketing, leadership, and professional team-building. His portfolio includes high-profile clients like McDonalds, Canon, Pepsi, P&G, Virgin, Mars, Fiat, and Colgate, and various national governments and local enterprises.

In high demand as a public speaker, Marsh travels the globe giving speeches to major corporations and organizations about his business and personal views. His TED Talk about work/life balance remains the most viewed presentation ever given outside America with more than three million hits.

Marsh is the author of three internationally best-selling books – Fat, Forty and Fired; Overworked and Underlaid; and Fit, Fifty, and Fired Up – recounting the reinvention of his personal and corporate ventures. He is also the cofounder of Earth Hour, a worldwide movement dedicated to climate change awareness.

In addition to his role as a speaker and author, Marsh personally consults to a select group of leading CEOs and organizations, is the special advisor to the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation, and a partner in his boutique management consultancy Growth Mantra.

Merck Animal Health is the sponsor of the 2017 keynote.

The 63rd Annual Convention will be held Nov. 17-21 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
