Our Internship program is designed to provide graduate veterinarians with knowledge and experience that will ultimately prepare them for clinical practice or a residency program. This program provides both hospital and ambulatory experiences. Upon completion of our internship, our doctors have vast experience in internal medicine, field & hospital emergency medicine, sports medicine, surgery, advanced imaging, regenerative therapies, alternative medicine, dentistry, routine health & wellness and reproduction. Three positions are offered for the 2025/26 season providing a dynamic, face-paced and fun learning opportunity.
Special emphasis is placed on providing each intern with mentors in every area of veterinary medicine. Our staff veterinarians and interns strive for a collegial and educational atmosphere by meeting weekly for rounds to share case studies, journal article presentations and medical updates. The internship program also promotes education in business management and equine client relations.

We host CE meeting for referring veterinarians, farriers, technicians & students. We have a dental specialist that visits the practice once monthly. Our practice has veterinarians that perform acupuncture and chiropractic.

All hospital shifts are covered by technicians. Interns are expected to assist with ICU cases when needed. After-hours field service does not have technical assistance but interns seeing primary ambulatory calls have direct support from associate doctors that can physically assist them if needed.

We do not provide housing but current interns have been rotating through a rental property owned by a client of the practice – if desired, 2 interns could stay in the same house. One of our doctors also has a rental property at her farm.
Whilst we do not give interns a clothing stipend, we do provide them with clothing with practice logos.

Additional time off: Currently with 2 interns that rotate 2 weeks in FS and 2 weeks in hospital: they get one weekend in 4 off (whilst on FS) and 2 days off whilst in hospital.
