Seasonality description
Our practice follows the typical rhythm of equine care in New England. The slowest period is during the winter months, when harsh weather can limit travel and routine appointments. Activity generally increases in the spring and summer, with warm, sunny conditions creating higher demand for preventive care, lameness evaluations, and performance management. Fall sees a moderate pace as owners prepare horses for winter and complete fall vaccinations.

Other details about technician support of intern doctors
Our Equine Veterinary Assistants (EVAs) are shared among the associates based on scheduling needs, ensuring coverage across our ambulatory and haul-in appointments. While interns receive support from the EVAs during regular hours, overnight coverage is limited and may not always be available. Interns can rely on EVAs for assistance with handling, basic procedures, and patient care during the day, but should be prepared to manage certain responsibilities independently during after-hours.
