Maryland Veterinary Group is offering a chance to join a top Sport’s Medicine practice with the focus on Racetrack Medicine. We are a 6 veterinarian practice that specializes in the care of performance horses of numerous disciplines, Thoroughbred racehorses, and pleasure horses. Our veterinarians are highly trained in lameness diagnostics, emergency medicine, acupuncture/chiropractor; but we see lots of medicine cases also!
Our internship will provide you with in depth training and education of performance horses, and advanced technical skills, leaving you fully confident and knowledgeable in sports medicine.
During your internship, you will work alongside each of the veterinarians to learn numerous skills and concepts. Each of our veterinarians has their own digital x-ray, ultrasound, and upper airway scope. The practice has a dynamic scope, gastroscope, lameness locator, shockwave machines, therapeutic laser, and the ability to perform numerous stall side regenerative medicine options.
We are located year round at Laurel Park and Pimlico Racetrack in MD, Delaware Park, and seasonally at Colonial Downs in VA. Applicant must have a license to practice in MD, VA, and DE.
