Combined Residency/graduate studies in Comparative Theriogenology, Washington State University, Pullman, WA
The Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine, Washington State University, is seeking applicants for a residency position in Comparative Theriogenology to begin July 18, 2026. The program is designed to meet the needs of individuals seeking a MSc and certification in the American College of Theriogenologists (ACT). Training includes in-house and ambulatory clinical service, teaching in the DVM curriculum, courses/seminars, and basic/clinical research. The residency is a 3-year program with the option of being combined with a Master of Science or Graduate Certificate program. The intent of the program is to provide a graduate veterinarian opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of Comparative Theriogenology under the mentorship of three Diplomates of the ACT. The resident will also have an opportunity to work with faculty members with board certification in other related disciplines. This program includes reproductive emergency duties.
Applicants must have a DVM or equivalent degree, strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent academic record, and be eligible for enrollment in the Graduate School at Washington State University (https://gradschool.wsu.edu/). Completion of a formal recognized internship or at least two years of private practice experience is required. The starting stipend for the position is currently $43,110.00 per year with WSU graduate student benefits, health insurance, and tuition waiver. The position is renewal for up to three years and is contingent upon satisfactory academic and clinical performance.
