Any additional information the practice would like to share on their internship program:
Being a teaching institution for veterinary students, the resident is exposed to daily rounds and teaching moments. The resident will be on call only half of the time, as there is another resident in the service. He/she will always have a clinician as backup. The resident will work with three board-certified clinicians and be surrounded by all other equine specialties. Additionally, this year WSU was granted the opening of an IVF lab, which will see the resident involved to learn Ruminants IVF. WSU sees many referred cases, which means that they are usually unique and easy to publish. ART is offered in all species.
