Service rotation description
Our interns rotate monthly through different surgeons, associates and field/ER positions. This allows them dedicated time with each doctor to work up cases whether it progresses to the OR or is resolved medically. The intern is also trained in anesthesia and covers some daytime anesthesia during their surgery rotation. The field/ER rotation has been a huge favorite among our interns as it allows them valuable one on one time with our ambulatory veterinarians out of the hospital. We have several ambulatory vets with large client farms who stay busy with sport horse appointments, general wellness and alternative medicine. This allows interns additional hands on experience without the pressure of a hosptial setting.
