Bella Vista Equine is a growing seven doctor practice that serves a wide population of clientele in the greater Columbus, Ohio area. We are primarily an ambulatory practice but can also offer haul-in services at our clinic. We also provide 24/7 emergency care. Our practice sees a high volume of sport horses in a multitude of disciplines and is able to offer a wide variety of diagnostic and treatment modalities. Our intern will gain experience working up and managing all facets of equine ambulatory medicine, from emergency to internal medicine and reproduction to performance horse work. We aim to provide our intern with an educational experience that develops their skills and confidence to practice high-quality equine veterinary medicine. This is accomplished through hands-on experience, gradual case autonomy, recurring skills assessments and practicing client communication. Our practice is committed to equine career sustainability and strives to support that initiative by providing an internship that develops veterinary skills while also fostering personal wellbeing. Our intern will be supported by our team of veterinary professionals and have direct mentorship throughout the duration of their program.
