The AAEP Educational Programs Committee is excited to launch the AAEP Journal Club—a monthly opportunity to connect, learn, and exchange ideas with peers who share your commitment to advancing equine medicine.

Each month, one equine veterinarian will present a recent, relevant journal article, followed by an open group discussion. This is a chance to:

  • Stay current with new research and clinical advances
  • Hear diverse perspectives from colleagues across the profession
  • Sharpen your critical thinking and evidence-based practice skills

When: First Thursday of every month (beginning October 2)

Time: 8:00–9:00 p.m. Eastern

Where: Online (Zoom link provided via the AAEP Journal Club listserv)

How it works:

Articles will be posted in advance on the new AAEP Journal Club listserv. You will need to join the listserv by opting in:

Go to https://communities.aaep.org/communities/allcommunities, log in using your AAEP website username and password, search for AAEP Journal Club, and select “join.”

If you need assistance logging in or joining the listserv, please contact Karen Pautz at kpautz@aaep.org.

Presenters will summarize the study, discuss its findings, and explore clinical implications.

All attendees are welcome to contribute to the conversation.

Whether you’re a recent graduate or a seasoned practitioner, this is your space to engage in thoughtful, collegial dialogue about the science shaping our field.
