Focus on Dentistry

Grow your practice by expanding your ability to recognize and treat the array of oral pathologies that can erode a horse’s systemic health.

The AAEP’s Focus on Dentistry will prepare you to perform a comprehensive oral exam and diagnostics before proceeding to extractions, advanced dental topics and discussion of cases that often stretch the comfort level of many practitioners.

Sessions will include:

  • Performing a thorough oral exam and recognizing common pathology

  • Interpreting dental radiographs

  • Exploring sinus anatomical and treatment considerations

  • Expanding technique options for dental extraction

The meeting will also feature new information on restoring infundibular caries and treating sinus pathologies through minimally invasive techniques.

Daily case presentations will consolidate the information presented each day, compelling you to think through cases critically and reinforcing your ability to apply this knowledge in your practice. You’ll leave the meeting as the most qualified individual to satisfy the unique dental needs at all stages of a horse’s life cycle.

Attendees are eligible for 20 CE hours.

Who’s Who: Focus on Dentistry will feature a select group of veterinary dental experts adept at delivering practical, take-home information. Each is board certified or in training to become board certified.
