About Us: The Equine Medical Center of Ocala is a busy private practice referral center in the heart of Ocala, Florida. We have a busy ambulatory service and a hospital caseload with specialists in equine surgery, internal medicine, critical care, and theriogenology. We are a 10 doctor practice and supported by a large team of veterinary technicians at all hours.

Interns are responsible for the hospitalized patients as well as assisting with receiving of cases under the different services and clinicians (both emergency and elective). There are educational rounds for the interns Friday mornings. Our interns rotate every 2 weeks through surgery & lameness, internal medicine/critical care, ambulatory, reproduction, anesthesia, and night-time/emergency.
