Bayhill Equine is a fully ambulatory practice specializing in sports medicine for the performance horse. With a highly trained staff and state-of-the-art equipment and treatment protocols, Bayhill Equine stands as the preeminent practice in the Bay Area. The sports medicine aspect includes pre-purchase exams, lameness workups and treatment, and the latest techniques in regenerative medicine. We offer the latest diagnostic equipment in an ambulatory practice including digital x-ray and ultrasound, and both 1-meter and 3-meter video endoscopes. Treatment modalities include stem cell therapy, Alpha 2 EQ, PRP, IRAP, Pro Stride and a class 4 laser. We also offer acupuncture services.
Duties will involve performing or assisting in all ambulatory calls, almost exclusively with a lameness and sports medicine focus, as well as Emergency duty. Our goal is to provide a new veterinarian the opportunity to practice quality equine medicine in a learning environment that is conducive to increasing their knowledge and skills in veterinary medicine, along with exposure to the day-to-day factors of managing a private practice, thus providing them with the tools to become a successful equine veterinarian.
