Values Statement
The AAEP is guided by its recognition of the inherent value of diversity, inclusion, safety, and mutual respect. We intend to lead and model equitable practices at all levels within our community so our members, internal constituents, and external stakeholders can achieve and sustain career satisfaction and excellence.
Committee Charge
To celebrate and honor diversity within the organization and profession; to create awareness within equine practice about the benefits of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and practices and to advocate for their adoption within the AAEP and the profession; to enhance diversity, equity and inclusion by providing education and resources for the membership on current DEI issues and how to address them in an open and honest format; and to network with other equine & veterinary organizations to seek areas of collaboration in order to help break down barriers of entry into the equine profession.
