Tracy Turner, DVM, MS, DACVS, DACVSMR, 2025 president of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, presented the annual President’s Award to the AAEP staff for exceptional service to both the membership and the horse. The presentation took place during the December 9 President’s Luncheon at the AAEP’s 71st Annual Convention in Denver, Colo.

The President’s Award recipient is selected by the sitting AAEP president and honors individuals who have demonstrated a dedication to the association during the past year by contributing significant time and expertise to benefit the health and welfare of the horse.

In recognizing the staff, Dr. Turner said, “The AAEP is blessed with a team that consistently goes above and beyond their jobs. If there is an issue that concerns our members or the health and welfare of the horse, you can rest assured the AAEP staff is already on it. Congratulations to this very deserving team.”

During the luncheon, Dr. Turner also presented milestone service awards to three AAEP staff members in honor of a combined 55 years of service to the association and its members. Keith Kleine, director of The Foundation for the Horse and AAEP strategic partnerships, and Amity Wahl, website and digital projects administrator, each celebrated 20-year work anniversaries while Megan Gray, member concierge, celebrated 15 years with the AAEP.
