Start 2020 in spectacular fashion by joining colleagues in the Caribbean paradise of Aruba for the AAEP’s 22nd Annual Resort Symposium, Jan. 23–25.
Three half-days of practical, interactive CE will enhance the care you provide to client horses:
Day 1, led by Dr. Tracy Norman and focused on preventative medicine and biosecurity, will help you avoid neonatal complications, protect traveling horses from immunity and biosecurity threats, improve the lives of geriatric horses, and prevent infectious and contagious disease.
Day 2, led by Dr. Stephanie Caston and devoted to field procedures, will help you manage skin masses and tumors, treat and manage limb and foot wounds, triage and perform field surgery on the head and neck, and manage uncommon emergencies.
Day 3, led by Dr. John A.E. Hubbell and focused on effective sedation and restraint techniques, will equip you to assess challenges and potential solutions to production of safe sedation and anesthesia, balance the use of various techniques to handle foals safely, extend standing chemical restraint techniques, and extend xylazine-ketamine anesthesia.
After sessions, ditch the sandals and enjoy a tropical, sun-soaked playground of soft sand and warm turquoise waters that will help you relax and recharge for the year ahead. Registration will open in late summer.
