Brock Veterinary Clinic is pleased to offer a one-year mixed animal internship designed to provide a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience in a supportive and progressive practice environment. This current position would start in January 2027.
Located in Lamesa, Texas, our clinic is a mixed animal practice with a strong emphasis on equine surgery, medicine, lameness, and reproduction. In addition, we provide essential small animal and livestock services to our local community, allowing interns to gain well-rounded clinical exposure.
This internship is structured as a year of mentored practice, offering extensive hands-on experience in:
• Surgery and anesthesia
• Lameness evaluation and treatment
• Internal medicine
• Diagnostics and therapeutic planning
Interns begin by working closely under the guidance of our clinicians, with a progressive transition toward independent case management as confidence and skills develop throughout the year.
On-call responsibilities are shared evenly among interns, and scheduled time off—including weekends—is provided to support work-life balance.
We are committed to professional growth and offer:
• Financial support for professional memberships and licensure
• Continuing education (CE) funding
• A collaborative environment with the goal of training three interns per year
If you are seeking a practical, high-quality internship with strong mentorship and diverse case exposure, we encourage you to consider joining our team.
