Join us for a year of engagement, development and learning in a supportive and productive equine practice environment

Elders Equine offers a year long clinical internship program which aims to support veterinarians eager to increase their clinical skills and judgement in a comprehensive equine practice.

Our junior associates/interns are integrated into our clinical services including surgery, anesthesia, internal medicine, emergency medicine, reproductive care, first opinion/ambulatory medicine, racetrack medicine and advanced imaging including on site CT and MRI case load.

Our 7 doctor practice (5FTE) offers our interns a variety of cases while supporting their clinical development and competencies. Our clinical team consists of senior clinicians, generalists, specialist, interns, RVT’s, VTAs and customer care experts. We work collaboratively and follow our practice developed core values.

The junior associate/intern will have opportunity for independence to practice with available supervisor at various points during their development within the practice structure and will have opportunity for primary on-call responsibilities once prepared and ready to take on the challenge. Don’t worry, it actually pretty great actually!

Our junior associates/interns are offered continuing education opportunities and encouraged to learn, teach and mentor within our practice structure.

Previous interns have gone into surgery residencies, general practice and reproductive medicine practice.
