Our practice is located in the heart of Premier Horse Country, renowned for hosting world-class equestrian events such as Dressage at Devon, Fair Hill International, Plantation Field, The Devon Horse Show, the Pennsylvania Hunt Cup, and the Cheshire and Radnor Hunts. Our veterinarians are FEI-certified and regularly provide care at FEI events.
In the summer of 2012, UEA proudly opened its state-of-the-art clinic and surgical facility. This modern facility features four private outpatient exam areas, 10 stalls, dedicated reproduction and isolation facilities, an outdoor riding ring, a round pen, a fully equipped pharmacy, and a comprehensive laboratory. Our advanced equipment includes digital radiography, digital ultrasonography, a lameness locator, arthroscopy, video endoscopy and gastroscopy, shockwave therapy, power dental tools, regenerative laser technology, ECG, and an in-house clinical laboratory.
We are committed to offering a comprehensive educational experience in equine primary care. Our externship program is designed to help motivated individuals develop advanced skills in managing complex cases, mastering diagnostic tools such as radiology and ultrasonography, and excelling in client communication. The diverse caseload provides opportunities to gain valuable expertise in primary care, internal medicine, sports medicine, and surgery.
Upon completion of our externship, participants will have a solid foundation and advanced skill set, fully preparing them for a successful career in equine private practice.
