Rio Grande is nestled between the turquoise Atlantic Ocean and the breathtaking El Yunque rainforest, providing a rare opportunity to experience the area’s topographic and ecologic treasures during afternoon tours. Excursion prices include round-trip transportation.

El Yunque Rainforest Tour

$185 per person

El Yunque is the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System! Following a stop at the visitors’ center, you will take a relaxing stroll with a knowledgeable step aboard guide who will point out the splendor of the surroundings. Afterwards, you will be driven up to the Yokahu tower to enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views. Lastly, your tour includes a 1-hour stop at a refreshing river.

Attire: Comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes (no flip flops), towels, swimwear, and change of clothes.

Eco-Kayaking at Rio Espiritu Santo

Espiritu Santo River Natural Reserve is a coastal valley with several ecological zones. It is classified as a subtropical rainforest (79° F average temperature and 77 inches of rain per year). As you kayak this slow-moving river, your guide will explain the ecological system, pointing out the abundant animal life inhabiting the estuaries. Once at the beach, you will have time to explore or just sit under the beach canopy and enjoy a light snack and cold bottled water before heading back.

Rainforest Ziplining Tour

Enjoy a memorable zip through lush tropical rainforest with amazing views and swim in some of Puerto Rico’s most beautiful natural pools. JungleQui Zipline Park is located at El Yunque National Rainforest and is composed of several beautiful hiking trails, 11 carbon fiber ziplines, and two rappels. The tour includes an informative short hike of the National Rainforest to get a closer look at the breathtaking natural pools.

Bio-Bay Kayaking Tour

$159 per person

Return: 9:15 p.m.

Don’t miss exploring the top bioluminescent waters in the world! This relaxing kayak tour at sunset will take you to the fascinating lagoon at Las Cabezas de San Juan. You will see the historical lighthouse of Fajardo and also touch the waters that glow with single-celled dinoflagellate organisms. The excursion begins by kayaking across Las Croabas bay, through a winding mangrove river, and finally into the bio-bay. Professional tour staff will guide you throughout the entire tour and provide you with a life jacket, flashlight, safety briefing, and kayaking instructions.

Attire: Comfortable clothing, swimwear, change of clothes. Wearing jewelry is NOT recommended.

Catamaran Sail and Snorkel Tour

$180 per person

Set sail on an unforgettable experience aboard a catamaran for a delightful day in the Caribbean waters and discover the Island’s abundant living coral reefs.

If you’ve never snorkeled before, here’s your opportunity to learn the sport in a fun and relaxing setting. You’ll have the opportunity to take short dives into the crystal-clear waters where you’ll discover a world of fluid motion. Sunshine dancing across the ocean’s surface casts rippling shadows on the ocean floor. Coral reefs stretch their fingers toward the surface, their arms waving with the ocean currents.

Snorkel equipment, deli-style lunch and open bar provided.
