Foundation for the Horse
The Foundation for the Horse is dedicated to preserving and improving the health and well-being of equines by honoring exceptional veterinary students dedicated to equine practice. Students interested in applying must also have the support of AAEP members and their clinical instructors.
Coyote Rock Ranch Scholarship
Coyote Rock Ranch is proud to demonstrate its dedication to top-quality equine healthcare and equine veterinary students by annually supporting three $75,000 scholarships. This scholarship is open to exceptional fourth-year students.
Merck Animal Health Scholarship
Merck Animal Health and The Foundation for the Horse are committed to preserving and improving the health and well-being of equines as well as honoring exceptional veterinary students dedicated to equine practice. This scholarship supports three (3) $10,000 scholarships to eligible third year veterinary students.
Oakwood Foundation Scholarship
The Oakwood Foundation and The Foundation for the Horse are dedicated to preserving and improving the health and well-being of equines as well as honoring exceptional veterinary students dedicated to equine practice. This scholarship supports five annually awarded $5,000 scholarships to eligible third-year veterinary students.
Dr. Bill Rood Leadership Scholarship
This $5,000 scholarship is offered annually to one student who exemplifies leadership within the equine profession through demonstrated academic excellence, leadership and a commitment to equine veterinary medicine.
Zoetis Foundation Scholarship
The Zoetis Foundation and The Foundation for the Horse are proud to offer ten $10,000 scholarships in 2023, designed to award students with a dedication to equine medicine for their academic excellence, leadership in their school and chapter, and their long-term goals.
