Veterinarian (Regular) Member
To qualify, applicant must be a resident or citizen of the United States or Canada who is a graduate from a college or school of veterinary medicine or is licensed in good standing to practice veterinary medicine in the United States or Canada. Applicant must provide a photocopy of his/her diploma or license.
Cost: $345 dues + $50 new member initiation fee ($395)
Dues Cycle: July 1 –June 30
Current members in good standing may take advantage of our automated installment plan ($90 x 4 payments). For more information on this option, contact the AAEP office.
International Member
To qualify, applicant must be a citizen of a country other than the United States or Canada who is a graduate from a college or school of veterinary medicine or is licensed in good standing to practice veterinary medicine in their country. Applicant must provide a photocopy of his/her diploma or license.

Student Member
Cost: $35
Dues Cycle: Sept 1–August 31
To qualify, applicant must be a student currently enrolled in a college of veterinary medicine with an expressed interest in the equine species. Note: Students receive online access to EVE through the AAEP website.
Resident Member
Cost: $80 dues + $50 new member initiation fee
Dues Cycle: July 1-June 30
To qualify, applicants must be enrolled in a residency program at a recognized college or school of veterinary medicine with a focus of equine medicine/research. Applicant must provide an annual letter from an advisor confirming residency status; renewable up to four years.
Recent Graduate Member
Cost: $85 dues + $50 new member initiation fee (1st year of practice)
$175 dues + $50 new member initiation fee (2nd year of practice)
$260 + $50 new member initiation fee (3rd - 5th year of practice)

To qualify, an applicant must have graduated from a college or school of veterinary medicine.
Restrictions: To continue receiving these discounts, membership must be continuous. AAEP student members are asked to convert to regular members when they graduate. As an incentive the AAEP waives the $50 initiation fee if they do this before their student memberships lapses.
