Equine veterinarians and veterinary students will negotiate the changing practice landscape with transformational knowledge, skills, best practices and support acquired at the American Association of Equine Practitioners’ (AAEP) 68th Annual Convention, Nov. 18–22 in San Antonio, Texas.

The convention is the most comprehensive continuing education event dedicated to equine practice. Anchoring the five-day meeting are an educational program offering 130.5 hours of CE from leading minds and emerging talents within the profession; a nearly 300-exhibitor trade show spotlighting the newest technologies, services and products for practice success; and a broad slate of networking and social events at which to rekindle and expand friendships and professional connections.

Attendees will discover new clinical approaches to improve patient care and outcomes in essential areas such as lameness and rehabilitation, reproduction, diagnostic imaging, joint therapies, and more. In addition, on Nov. 18, practitioners can learn a new clinical technique or refresh their skill set during small-group dry labs devoted to ophthalmology, equine dystocia, cervical imaging and skull radiology; and at complimentary mini-labs focused on anatomy and palpation of both the stifle and distal limb.

Relationship-building opportunities will abound during the convention’s many social and networking events. These include Storytelling Texas Style, a Nov. 19 benefit for The Foundation for the Horse in which veterinarians and special guests riff about the lighter side of equine practice; and the Zoetis-sponsored After Party, a complimentary celebration and concert on Nov. 21.

Those unable to join their colleagues in San Antonio may participate virtually through on-demand access to 24 educational sessions as well as live access to a dozen Table Topics being reoffered via Zoom Nov. 28–Dec. 2. On-demand viewing will be available by Dec. 16, and CE hours from on-demand sessions can be earned through March 31, 2023. Those who register for the live convention will receive access to on-demand sessions at no additional cost.
