AAEP Website FAQ

The AAEP Website is meant to be a robust resource to enhance your AAEP membership. We have gathered together on this page the items that are most asked about when we talk to you about our website. If there is something that is not listed here, that you feel would be useful to list, please contact Megan Gray at mgray@aaep.org.

 

How do I log into the website or reset my password?

To log into the AAEP website, first click on the blue Log In button in the upper right-hand corner of the homepage:

This will bring you to the login page where you will enter your username and password:

If this is the first time you have logged into the AAEP website, your username is the email address that you have provided the AAEP office. Your password is the password included in the welcome email you received from the AAEP office when you joined or the password you chose yourself when you joined.

If you do not remember the email address you provided or your password, please follow the "I don't know my username or password" links. You will receive an email from info@aaep.org to the email address that we have on file that will give you your username or allow you to reset your password. If you do not receive this email in a few minutes, be sure to check your spam or junk email folders. Please note the info@aaep.org address is not monitored; please reach out to aaepoffice@aaep.org if you need assistance.

The password requirements are:

  • Seven characters minimum length
  • And at least one numeric character
  • And at least one alphabetic character

Where do I edit my contact information and access my member benefits?

Once you are logged into the website, to access your member profile and your member benefits, first click on the orange My Member Profile/Benefits button located in the upper right-hand corner:

This will bring you to a page where most frequently used benefits are accessible down the middle and additional benefits and dues renewal are accessible in the blue menu to the left:

To edit your member profile and contact information, click on the first option in the middle titled Update Your Contact Information. This will take you to an editable profile form. Each section can be edited by clicking on the gray arrow in the upper right-hand corner of each section:

Be sure to click save after entering your new information. If you change your email, the new email will become your username to log into the website.

 


Where do I find information on CE meetings?

There is an entire section of the AAEP website dedicated to our CE offerings and is accessible directly from the homepage of the site. This information can be accessed by clicking on the CE Meetings tab on the top-level navigation of the site:

You will then be taken to a page where you will see all the meetings that we have information on listed down the middle with graphics and also along the left-hand side in the blue menu bar:

Although you can access this section without being logged in, there are some AAEP CE offerings that are open to AAEP members only. You will need to be logged in to be able to view those meetings.
 


How do I register for meetings?

If you are in the Continuing Education Meetings section of the AAEP website (see the question above for assistance on how to find this section), you click on the meeting you want to register for. For each of our meetings we breakdown all of the useful information into separate pages accessible by buttons on the meeting's main page:

To register, you would click on the Registration Rates button, which will take you to a page that lists the rates and a button that says Register Now. Click the register now button and you will be taken to the form. Fill the form out, input your credit card information and submit your registration. You will then receive a confirmation via email to the email address you provided. For more information on how to register for an AAEP CE meeting, contact Kristin Walker at kwalker@aaep.org.

 


The AAEP has several websites, how do I access the other websites?

The AAEP has five websites:

How do I sign up for Vetcove?

Vetcove Inner Circle is a purchasing platform which combines the catalogs of your existing vet suppliers into one enhanced website to assist with supply purchases. It lets you research products, compare prices and what’s in stock across vendors, order faster, and reduce inventory costs.

You keep your existing vendors and reps, your current billing and shipping logistics, and any special pricing you currently receive, including buying group (GPO) pricing. All major veterinary vendors are supported. Benefits of using Vetcove Inner Circle include premium features and support not available to regular Vetcove members. To get started with the AAEP Inner Circle with Vetcove, go the to Vetcove page and click on the Create/Upgrade My Vetcove Account button:

How do I access and sign up for Rounds?

Once you are logged into the website, to access your member profile and your member benefits, first click on the orange My Member Profile/Benefits button located in the upper right-hand corner:

Click on the second option in the middle titled Rounds/List-Serv. This will bring you to the AAEP Community page. If this is the first time you are visiting the AAEP Community, you will be asked to agree to the Community Rules & Etiquette. Click agree and then click All Communities under the Rounds tab:

You will then come to a listing of communities you can join. To join any of the lists, click the join button on the right-hand side of the page next to the list you want to join:

You are now a member of that list and when there are posts, they will be sent to you as an email. To make a post, send an email to the address listed for that list. You can find the address to send to by the name of each list:

How do I post a job opening?

First, click on Career Center at aaep.org. Login to your account or if you have never posted a job, take a moment to create an account by going here:

Once you have registered, click on Post a Job and complete the template. Advance to the next screen and select any enhancements for your job post. If none, go to checkout and complete the purchase by entering your payment information.

How do I buy or sell veterinary equipment?

To buy equipment:

Go to the homepage of the website and scroll all the way down to the footer of the site and click on equipment marketplace:

If you are not already logged in, you will be prompted to do so as the equipment marketplace is open only to AAEP members. This is the listing of all items that are currently available to purchase. For more information on a particular item, click on the listing and you will be able to view the full listing. You can also use the search box on the left-hand side of the page to search for items by category:

Where can I find the Convention Proceedings and Recordings?

First, log into the AAEP website. Then click on the Publications tab at top of the site:

This is where all AAEP Publications can be found. To view the Proceedings, click on the image that says Proceedings. If you need additional assistance with this benefit or any of your AAEP benefits, contact Megan Gray at mgray@aaep.org. Underneath the image of each Proceedings, you will see a link that says Access to Online Convention recordings. Click that link to access the digital sessions.

Where do I go to make a Memorial Donation?


Either go directly to foundationforthehorse.org or click on the Foundation website at the top of the AAEP website:

Once on the Foundation site, click on the blue Donate button in the upper right-hand corner of the page

Click on the Individual button:

Choose the Memorial (In memory of a horse, pet, or individual) option:

How do I access the Membership Directory?


First, log into the AAEP website. Once logged in, click on the orange My Member Profile/Benefits button located in the top right-hand corner of the site:

On the left-hand side you will see a blue menu. Click on the Membership Directory option:

Where can I find AAEP Guidelines?


Go to the AAEP website and do not log in. Click on the Guidelines tab located at the top of the site:

Where can I find Get-A-DVM?

Go to the AAEP website and do not log in. Click on the Horse Owners tab located at the top of the site:
